Organization Committee

The Main Street approach to downtown revitalization is a total community effort. To be successful a local program must organize many different public and private sectors of the community to unite for the common goal of a better downtown.

Goal:

Use the tools of Main Street to build a cohesive, self-supported organization with committed leadership that encourages everyone to work together.

Objectives:

1. Maintaining the program’s momentum through volunteer development and the careful management of time.
2. Encouraging the support, participation and acceptance of change by all businesses, property owners, customers and the community.
3. To find the necessary funding to allow continuation of the program and its activities.
4. Developing a positive image and attitude for the organization.
