Each season brings new activity sponsored by the Marshalltown Central Business District. Follow our events calendar to be part of annual events such as the Garden Extravaganza, Art Walk and Holiday Stroll, which draw visitors from throughout central Iowa.

Main Street Iowa

The Main Street Program is hard at work in downtown Marshalltown. The Marshalltown Central Business District currently has 104 retail and professional businesses, in addition to many individuals, who are a part of the organization. With a strong base of volunteers who give of their time and talent, you’ll find our downtown to be a distinctive destination.

A big congratulations to Main Street Iowa. A National Preservation Award was awarded to Main Street Iowa who since 1986 has partnered with 64 cities and towns, rehabbing 8,000 historic buildings, creating 10,000 jobs and investing $971 million to revitalize the Hawkeye State. We are proud to be called a Main Street Community.
